Christmas Cards for a Cause

My church, Hope Community Church, is in the middle of it's 2nd Annual Mina Project. So, now you're asking, what is a Mina Project, right? Basically, drawing from a parable in the Bible, the church gave each adult in attendance, one Sunday in August, and envelope holding $10-$500. A total of $50,000 was given away. Our mission is to multiply our money and return it to the church on October 26th. The money will be used to build a hospital and dorm for hospital staff in Haiti and to bless 10 local non-profit organizations this Christmas. One of these non-profits is With Love from Jesus Ministries, which is very close to my heart.

We received $20 and are hoping to turn it into at LEAST $200. To do this we are selling Custom Created Christmas Cards (pictured below). The cards are 5x7 flat cards with fully customizable front and back. You choose from four designs, choose your pictures and text and choose semi-gloss or matte finish for your cards. The cards will come in sets of 24 for $40 with $20 of each set going straight to the Mina Project. Orders must be placed by Friday the 24th to go towards Mina. If you have had pictures done by LBP in 2008 you can choose your card pictures from the proofs you already have. If you are in need of an updated picture, I can take care of that too!

This Sunday, October 19th, I will be at "Hope4Haiti -- a MINAfest Shopping Spree" doing mini-portrait sessions for only $50 (including the cost of your 1st pack of cards!!!!!). We will be doing a session every 30 minutes from 10:30am until 2:30pm at the "old" Ford Truck lot on Buck Jones Road next to The Shiny Diner. There will also be lots of other vendors on hand who will be working toward the Mina Project. This is a great opportunity to get a jump on your Christmas shopping, buy a pumpkin to carve, pick up a great, Mina Project only, CD and eat great BBQ!!!! If it rains, or you can't squeeze a photo session into your Sunday, you can also reserve your spot for a session in early November! So, come out and get your picture taken, get custom Christmas Cards and have a global impact!
