Ok, so one of my very first weddings, the bride had the cutest pink shoes! I came to find out that they were actually her mom's wedding shoes! The bride's father dyed the shoes pink to match her wedding theme. HOW CUTE IS THAT!!! So, whether it's a family heirloom or just your favorite color, you can't go wrong with Pink! Check out these pink and purple options on the market!

...Something Blue | Wedding Shoes that POP! | NC Wedding Photographer

We all know the saying, "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." Brides of old used to wear blue wedding dresses with the superstition that it would keep her groom "true blue" for they're years together. This tradition is now carried on in small ways on the modern wedding day. A grandmother's hanky, a blue ribbon in your hair, blue jewelry or even blue lingerie! But, why not make your something blue, be your shoes!

One of the biggest benefits of colored wedding shoes is that you may actually wear them again! Who really has an occasion to wear white satin shoes other than on their wedding day? But, a great blue high heel can make an everyday or work outfit POP! I have a fantastic pair of Teal peep-toe heels that I LOVE! I always feel more dressed up and sophisticated when I wear them. It's so funny what a great pair of fun shoes can do for a girl!

I found some really fun blue and teal shoes to share with you!!! Enjoy! :D

Nicole & Wiley | Marriage

Nicole and Wiley were married in a simple ceremony before family and a few friends just after Christmas.

Nicole got ready on their little farm in Godwin. I love the combination of the raw wood with the soft wedding details.

Isn't this church were they were married just adorable? It is complete with a little prayer garden in the back. You couldn't ask for a sweeter spot.

Lovely flowers and killer cowboy boots, what more could a girl ask for?

Shana & Barry | Marriage

Looking back on 2008, Shana & Barry's Wedding was a bright star in my year. Their day was simple, yet elegant, fun and relaxed and rain-threatened, but not washed out! From the moment I stepped into the bridal suite, I was a part of the family. We laughed, reminisced and ohhed and aahhed over the lovely Shana. Michael had a blast hanging out with the guys as well. And we both loved exploring the lovely Shady Wagon Farm to find great places to shoot! There were so many beautiful moments from the day that my list of pictures to share is rather long, but well worth the time! AND at the bottom is the debut, LBP Wedding Slideshow! Enjoy!!!

The only way to improve on a pair of J. Crew brown heals is to put them on a pair of well love cowboy boots!!!

I loved the front porch at the farm. It made a perfect location to display Shana's lovely dress.

A big thank you to my wonderful hubby, Michael for catching the guys in this great moment of laughter!

And speaking of guys! Wowzers!!!!

There were so many fun shots of Shana getting ready, that I had a hard time choosing, so I went with a theme, mirrors!

Shana and her Dad smiled and laughed their way to meet Barry...

Shana and Barry's ceremony was the most beautiful ceremony I have seen in a long time. I had to keep fighting back tears to be able to shoot! It was personal, with poems written by the bride and sister of the groom and thank yous to the family members who are no longer with us. Such a special union for an amazing couple.

The rain came in as soon as the ceremony was over. It pushed us up onto the porch for our after-shots, but we still made it work!

The 1st dance was beautiful and the toast from the best-man was crazy!

The father/daughter dance was a floor-stomping, traditional, Pennsylvania Polka! It was so much fun that everyone joined in!

Barry and his best-man, Curry, have known each other... well... forever! I'm not sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if they had been doing this same "routine" since middle school dances!

Photobucket

The highlight of the day for me was Shana and Barry's 2nd dance. Barry dedicated one of Shana's favorite John Denver songs to her and they floated around the dance floor. Such a sweet perfect moment....
