Ok, so one of my very first weddings, the bride had the cutest pink shoes! I came to find out that they were actually her mom's wedding shoes! The bride's father dyed the shoes pink to match her wedding theme. HOW CUTE IS THAT!!! So, whether it's a family heirloom or just your favorite color, you can't go wrong with Pink! We all know the saying, "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." Brides of old used to wear blue wedding dresses with the superstition that it would keep her groom "true blue" for they're years together. This tradition is now carried on in small ways on the modern wedding day. A grandmother's hanky, a blue ribbon in your hair, blue jewelry or even blue lingerie! But, why not make your something blue, be your shoes!
One of the biggest benefits of colored wedding shoes is that you may actually wear them again! Who really has an occasion to wear white satin shoes other than on their wedding day? But, a great blue high heel can make an everyday or work outfit POP! I have a fantastic pair of Teal peep-toe heels that I LOVE! I always feel more dressed up and sophisticated when I wear them. It's so funny what a great pair of fun shoes can do for a girl!

Meet my dear friend Chris. Chris and I set out on a mission last week... a mission to define what fearless is for a bride. Glamour Sessions with LBP are fun, sassy, classy and sometimes quite FEARLESS!

Nicole wasn't sold on the idea of a bridal portrait. Her fiancee (now husband!), Wiley, however really wanted her to have one. So, to surprise him, she decided to have her Glamour Session on the morning of their wedding at his farm with his roping partner, Horse! I was so excited!!! I couldn't picture anything any sweeter than her, not being the cowgirl type, having her Glamour Session with Horse.

This shot took a little "photoshop magic!" I loved her body position and the lighting, but it was indoors after the session with people mealing around and not the most scenic backdrop. So, I played and this is what I ended up with. Pretty cool huh?
A HUGE "thank you" has to go out to Nicole and Wiley's dear friend, Wendy. Wendy spent her morning chasing down Horse, literally, to get her all cleaned up for the Glamour Session. Wendy worked tirelessly to get Horse to submit to being bridled and then washed and trimmed and ready to pose! Thank you again, Wendy, for all your HARD WORK!!! These shots of Wendy and Horse were captured by my amazing Nephew, associate shooter and assistant for the day, Aaron.
Meet the lovely, talented and fantastic in front of the camera, Kathryn! We had so much fun finding new, dirty, funky and unconventional places to shoot during her session.
