Prevent Blindness --2008 Gala

I had the pleasure of photographing the 2008 Gala "A Little Night Vision" for Prevent Blindness North Carolina on Feb. 16th. It was at the always fun and interesting Museum of Natural Sciences in Downtown Raleigh.

Several area restaurants showed support for the cause in the amazing food that they served at the event.The theme of the night was HOLLYWOOD, so the attendees dressed the the nines ready to walk the red carpet! Everyone was a celebrity with yours truly serving as their personal paparazzi!


The music was incredible. Everyone danced the night away to the wonderful sounds of Fantasy! If you are looking for a band to make your wedding reception and real party, you've got to check these guys out!

When they slowed the music down a bit, I saw some of the cutest couples hit the dance floor. I had so much fun capturing these sweet moments.




The main attraction of the night, however, was the silent auction, which was placed under the amazing skeleton of a huge whale (humpback, I believe). What a great location.
Congratulations on a great event! I hope you were able to raise a lot of money for the essential work you are doing!
